Ellery Reads is a dumping grounds for all my thoughts concerning what I am currently reading and what I want to read next.

Although I have been a reader my whole life, I began really embracing reading after graduating from college in 2022. Since I’m starting medical school this year and anticipating my schedule to get exponentially busier, I made Ellery Reads as a personal void I can yell into about my bookish thoughts. Hope you enjoy!

My Rating System

Half stars are occasionally awarded when I feel like they are needed!

5 stars: A book that is not only fantastic, but also connects with me emotionally. Books that make me feel like I have been transported to their world. Books that keep me up at night after I finish them. Books that are nostalgic.
4 stars: Great! Loved it.
3 stars: Good. Books that may not connect with me 100% but had some interesting aspects.
2.5 stars: Dead average!
2 stars: I did not enjoy this book, but it was largely unoffensive.
1 star: Little to no redeeming qualities, for books that leave a bad taste in my mouth.
